Networking for More Customers

I really need to find some more business somehow, and a friend of mine suggested that I try networking. I am not really sure of the most effective way to go about this though. She told me there is something called business referral networking that can really generate a lot of new business if it is done right. There is some kind of informational package you can purchase that teaches you how to do it, but I am not sure where to get it. Does anyone know more about this? I am especially interested in finding out where I can buy the course on how to do it.

I really need to generate some new business or I am going to have to consider closing my business that I started a few months back. Things just haven’t been picking up quickly enough since the economy isn’t doing so well. I might have to close up shop and try again another time. Before I give up though, I would like to try using a business broker. Can anyone tell me where I can get a business broker referral? I need to find someone really good that might be able to really help me out. I can’t afford to pay a lot though.
