Troubled times

I look around at the crisis that our country has found ourselves in and now that I’m typing this wonder why it is that when I run out of things to talk about it always ends up on politics? Is it because there is just a never-ending supply of ridiculous controversies to explore or is it because that’s just what folks talk about when there isn’t anything intelligent left to talk about. A realtor recently told me to advise my parents to take their home off the market until March when all the presidential insecurity in our nation had settled down after the big change. I think that it is silly how our economy (at least from where I am at in life) seems to be based on oil, it makes everything more expensive it seems and somehow I’m told its all based on speculation. Is our country so controlled by oil investors that it really is futile to actually have a battery driven vehicle mass-produced? Am I the only one that sounds utterly insane to? I watched the film who killed the electric car and they figured it was everyone’s fault including the consumers, I’m sure if they tried to do it one more time the results would be astronomical, I mean with hybrids flying off the shelves that take twenty years to pay off in gas savings why hasn’t someone made this more simple?
